The Season is over…

October 6th, 2007 . by dan

The season ended at the hands of the Colorado Rockies today with the Phillies being swept. Each game something else went wrong with the Phils. Mainly they just didn’t hit well. the big bats were silent noticeably with Chase Utley. It was a great year. Maybe next year…

A Glimmer of hope for the Phils

September 15th, 2007 . by dan

Once again the Phils beat up on the Mets taking the first two games of the series and finishing the series tomorrow in New York. The Phillies played all seven games this week picking up 5 wins. They did lose two of three to the Rockies.

Fish and Braves not so kind

September 8th, 2007 . by dan

Coming off a great sweep of the Mets at home the week before the Phils sputter when they meet the Braves and Marlins going 2-4 this week. The bullpen took a beating playing a large part in every loss. This unit has to tighten it up or we can forget about the Playoffs.

West Coast not so good to Phils

August 25th, 2007 . by dan

Well they are playing dome good teams out west like the Padres and Dodgers. Only 1 win is still not acceptable. The Phils were blow out by the Dodgers on the 22nd 15-3 and by the Padres on the 24th 14-3. Greg Maddux got another win in that one.

A Long week…

August 4th, 2007 . by dan

The week stared out good for the Philles with wins by Kendrick and Hamels but soon went south. The Phils have now dropped 4 out of their last 5 games with losses to the Cubs and Brewers. The Philles need to turn it around next week when they meet the Fish and Atlanta.

Phils are a .500 team at the AllStar break

July 9th, 2007 . by Go Phils

The Phillies pulled the game out 8-4 today and even helped the ground crew cover the field. The storms in Colorado the past two days have been crazy. They did drop the series 1-2. Hopefully they can get their pitching staff healthy for the second half of the season.

Phils drop series to Indians

June 21st, 2007 . by Go Phils

The Phillies limp out of Cleveland only winning 1 of 3 games but still end up with a winning 8-7 record in Interleague play this year. The pitching was suspect this series and the powerful Indians picked their spots to throw up huge innings on the Philly starting pitching. All around the Phillies played good. Rowand and Burrell were non-existent in this series.
