Midnight’s Children

The Phillies scored a run in every inning except the 2nd yesterday beating the Tigers 6-3. Victorino and Rowand each homered and Moyer pitched 7 strong innings only allowing 2 runs (both solo home runs, one from Guillen and Granderson). The Phils could have really blown this one open they left 27 on base let by Nunez with 5.

The Phillies (36-32) are only 2 behind the Mets and a half game behind the Braves.

The Tigers powered past the Phils last night 12-8. The Phillies started the game strong with 2 upperdeck home runs, one from Rollins and the other from Howard but could not sustain the lead. Rollins finished the game with 2 home runs and a triple. Leiber looked bad giving up 6 runs in 5 innings.
